Mair Tomos Ifans

Sesiwn y Sêr co-facilitator Mair Tomos Ifans, a native Welsh speaker, based in Mid Wales, is a teller of traditional legends, myths and tales, who draws on a deep repertoire of stories and folk songs from across Wales in her work as storyteller, singer, actress and wordsmith. Her performances are often illustrated with traditional songs and airs played on a small lap harp or on the Welsh triple harp.

Mair will facilitate the majority of practice based Welsh Language storytelling sessions at Sesiwn y Sêr, drawing on her knowledge of myths and folktale including published Welsh language collections of Greek myth aimed at readers of the language but are very rarely heard through the medium of Cymraeg.
